Why did the U.S. citizen lay down his sword of vigilance?

*This article was written specifically to be read online. I deliberately used mostly online “clickable” references so my sources can be looked at and cross-checked easily. I expect the reader to at least look at the documentation I present. In today’s world of power lunches, workaholic, nose to the grindstone, deadline oriented professional life I realize that this might be difficult for some. Please, instead of skimming this article, spend some time with it. Read it, watch the video clips, mull over what I present, and only then accept or reject it.*

Best Regards,
Tom Bionic

“We the People” is the way the Constitution of the United States of America begins. In the history of governance it was a new idea. A revolutionary idea. Kings, Tyrants, Princes and Emperors I’m sure took notice that a government had been formed where the very people who were BEING ruled, now, for the first time, also had a say in what their government said and did. Through the ballot, ordinary citizens had input as to who ruled them, who their commander in chief was. No longer were the days where a maniac could rule with impunity and cause unimaginable travesty like the rulers of old.

Our system of government was held in place with checks and balances, and a separation of powers.

We as the people were checked as well. Our power was balanced among the other branches of government. But the driving force was self government on behalf of the many, and that at the end of the day “We the people” was not a catch phrase or sloganeering, like so many other states that stick the “Peoples Republic” in their name.
Within this idea we were expected as members of this new society to remain vigilant , to remain educated, and to cast our votes with diligence and intelligence. We were supposed to vote for what we felt was right and good, and what was in our self interest.
Unfortunately the phrase “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely” has been a great axiom which can be applied to nearly evenly at all times to all powers. With respect to our country, slowly, imperceptibly, “We the people” have became more like a ruled population that is actively being lied to, actively being prodded, albeit gently, away from its founding documents and away from its God given rights of self government. Now, with rising prices in food, commodities, gasoline, as well as the looming catastrophe of in the derivatives and credit default swaps, things are beginning to get very strange, and is beginning to look of a real tragedy in the making. This is partly because we have been lied to, but is also due to our societal failures to be diligent with our duty as a citizen of a truely democratic republic.
In many ways it is like the Arabic story of the “camel’s nose under the tent”

Wherein an evil traveler comes upon a rich young prince camped out in the desert one cold night and asks the prince “rich young ruler, may I put my camels nose under the tent? It’s fiercely cold and the camel has worked all day for me. Will you allow it?” and the rich young ruler says “of course”. Later that evening the evil traveler asks “Rich young ruler, you have been so gracious as to allow the camel to put his nose under the tent. Will you allow him to put his whole head in the tent? It is deathly cold outside this night.” And the rich young ruler said “of course”. And on and on in incremental movements until the camel is inside the tent and the evil traveler has drawn his sword and is about to slay the rich young ruler while he sleeps.
So we find ourselves in the position of the rich young ruler. Incremental movements, subterfuge, and outright lies to the people of this country have brought our great republic to its knees. We, as a people, have been asleep and not vigilantly watching the government. We have not been staying awake and aware.
One might inquire if perhaps we can point concretely to a specific tangle of lies and deceit of which I speak. Of historical precedent are two such incidents from the last 50 years. One incident killed American sailors doing nothing more than following the orders of their superiors, the other proved to be a catalyst for a dramatic expansion of our police action in Vietnam.
Let us look at the first incident, the attack on the USS Liberty.

The USS Liberty incident was an attack on a U.S. intelligence ship, USS Liberty, in international waters about 12.5 nautical miles (23 km) from the coast of the Sinai Peninsula, north of El Arish, by Israeli fighter planes and torpedo boats on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War (a conflict between Israel and the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan and Syria. The attack, which killed 34 U.S. servicemen and wounded at least 173, was the second deadliest against a U.S. Naval vessel since the end of World War II, surpassed only by the Iraqi Exocet missile attack on the USS Stark on May 17, 1987, and marked the single greatest loss of life by the U.S. intelligence community. The official inquiry by both Israel and the United States was that it was merely a case of mistaken identity. (ibid. and at the link below)

However, during the ensuing inquiry Robert McNamara secretly ordered that the investigation conclude the incident was an accident, no matter what the evidence showed.
In a signed affidavit released at a Capitol Hill news conference, retired Capt. Ward Boston said then President Johnson and his secretary of the defense Robert McNamara told those heading the Navy's inquiry to "conclude that the attack was a case of 'mistaken identity' despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary."

Boston was senior legal counsel to the Navy's original 1967 review of the attack. He said in the sworn statement that he stayed silent for years because he's a military man, and "when orders come ... I follow them."

http://www.prisonplanet.com/231003libertycoverup.html (archived AP article)

Even the former director of the CIA did not believe the official story.
"...the board of inquiry (concluded) that the Israelis knew exactly what they were doing in attacking the Liberty."- Former CIA Director Richard Helms
Richard Helms. Over My Shoulder. New York: Random House, 2003. ISBN 037550012X
It was "one of the classic all-American cover-ups," said retired Admiral Thomas Moorer, a former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman who spent a year investigating the attack as part of an independent panel he formed with other former military officials

Let us be clear. In a signed affidavit the senior legal counsel of the official inquiry of the USS Liberty incident aligns himself with the former director of the CIA and a former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman in calling the USS Liberty tragedy a deliberate cover-up.
The attack killed 34 American servicemen.
The next historical precedent of which I referred to earlier is the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

To review:” The Gulf of Tonkin Incident prompted the first large-scale involvement of U.S. armed forces in Vietnam. It was a pair of attacks carried out by naval forces of the Democratic forces of North Vietnam (North Vietnam) against two American destroyers, the USS Maddox and the USS Turner Joy. The incident occurred on August 2 and 4, 1964 in the Gulf of Tonkin.”
From Edwin E. Moise, Tonkin Gulf
The outcome of the incident was the passage by Congress of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which granted President Lyndon B. Johnson the authority to assist any Southeast Asian country whose government was considered to be jeopardized by "communist aggression". The resolution served as Johnson's legal justification for escalating American involvement in the Vietnam War, which lasted until 1975.

Skunks, Bogies, Silent Hounds, and the Flying Fish: The Gulf of Tonkin Mystery, 2-4 August 1964

[I]t is not simply that there is a different story as to what happened; it is that no attack happened that night. [...] In truth, Hanoi's navy was engaged in nothing that night but the salvage of two of the boats damaged on 2 August.

The problem in all of this is that the incident never actually occurred. We were lied to, and many, many young American men died from the resulting expansion of the police action in Vietnam. But don’t take my word for it, even the NSA’s official historian, Robert Hanyok, concluded that the attacks were completely staged, that documents were deliberately falsified and accounts were purposely altered.
“The historian's conclusion was the first serious accusation that the agency's intercepts were falsified to support the belief North Vietnamese ships attacked US destroyers on August 4, 1964, two days after a previous clash.
Most historians have concluded in recent years there was no second attack, but they have assumed the agency's intercepts were unintentionally misread, not purposely altered. The research by Robert Hanyok, the agency's historian, was detailed four years ago in an in-house article that remains secret, in part because agency officials feared its release might prompt uncomfortable comparisons with the flawed intelligence used to justify the war in Iraq, according to an intelligence official.
Matthew Aid, an independent historian who has discussed Mr. Hanyok's Tonkin Gulf research with agency and CIA officials, said he had decided to speak publicly about the findings because he believed they should have been released long ago.”

So if world leaders from recent history actively distorted the truth for their own ends, what are the world leaders of today saying and doing? Perhaps there is a trend?
Lets look at four prime examples, A businessman, a policy maker, a news anchor, and the leader of the free world.
Here are two quotes from David Rockefeller, matriarch to the influential Rockefeller family:

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." — From Rockefeller's "Memoirs", (p.405).
I would like to point out in that quote that he openly admits that he’s working against the best interests of the United States, and that he openly admits that he is part of a secret network of people doing the same.
Here is the other quote;
"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during these years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government which will never again know war, but only peace and prosperity for the whole of humanity. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national autodetermination practiced in the past centuries. It is also our duty to inform the press of our convictions as to the historic future of the century."

I would point out that in the above quote Mr. Rockeller specifically singles out several major sources of news involved in manipulating what is told to the world for its own purposes. He mentions specifically, “..It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during these years...”(ibid) I think this also may give insight to the deals that might have been made behind closed doors.
Lets look at another world leader, leading policy advisor Zbignew Brezinski. He is a much sought after thinker who has worked in many administrations. He is also widely credited with creating Al-Qaida, and enabling The Khmer Rouge:

He wrote a book in 1970 called “Between Two Ages” where he talks about creating incurable diseases and fomenting wars to reduce the worlds population by 80%. Here is a quote of his in regards to national sovereignty. He, along with David Rockefeller started the Tri-Lateral Commission, an organization who’s stated goal is global government. Speaking on sovereignty he says:
Sovereignty is a word that is used often but it has really no specific meaning. Sovereignty today is nominal . Any number of countries that are sovereign are sovereign only nominally and relatively.
And again, regarding his support for Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, which killed 2 million innocent Cambodians in the 70’s when that country was taken over by a madman:
“I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot. I encouraged the Thai to help the Khmer Rouge”.
He was the foreign policy advisor to John McCain from 1999-2000, He worked in the Clinton administration, and is Barak Obama’s foreign policy advisor.
Let us turn to another leader, perhaps the most well known newsman in history, Walter Cronkite.
Walter Leland Cronkite, Jr. (born November 4, 1916) is a retired iconic American broadcast journalist, best known as anchorman for The CBS Evening News for 19 years (1962–81). During the heyday of CBS News in the 1970s and 1980s he was often cited in viewer opinion polls as "the most trusted man in America," because of his professional experience and kindly demeanor.

Here is Walter Cronkite, caught on camera openly explaining that, “First the Americans are going to have to give up some of their sovereignty.” (at approx 4:50 into the video below) The speech of his was given at an acceptance award banquet from the World Federalist Association, an organization committed to global governance.

Later in the same video he says, in response to his critics “Well join me, I am glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan.”(at approx 7:15). Also of interest in this video clip is the fact that then first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton taped a speech to congratulate Mr. Cronkite on his “achievement of working towards global government.”
If the most trusted man in America is openly calling for an end to the sovereignty of the U.S. citizen writ large, and openly asking “to sit here at the right hand of Satan.” then perhaps our diligence as citizens has been more lacking then we have first realized.
In a much darker vein, The links below are video clips of world leaders participating in a Molech ceremony. For those of you who do not know who Molech is, here is an explanation from Encyclopedia Brittanica:
Molech, a deity to whom child sacrifices were made throughout the ancient Middle East. The name derives from combining the consonants of the Hebrew melech (“king”) with the vowels of boshet (“shame”), the latter often being used in the Old Testament as a variant name for the popular god Baal (“Lord”).

The ceremony is performed every July in Sonoma County CA. at the Bohemian Grove private club, near Monte Rio, off of Bohemia ave, near Bohemian hwy. The Bohemian Grove has been a private club since the late 1800’s, and reports of occultic ceremonies, homosexual dalliances by the worlds elite, bussed in male prostitutes, with former and current presidents, prime ministers and heads of state participating, seem almost too fantastic to believe.

The above link is to an aerial photo of Monte Rio. Zoom in and look for Bohemian hwy, and Bohemian avenue. At the dead end of Bohemian ave, is a dirt parking lot, which is typically where people meet to get the shuttle into the larger complex. The dense canopy of the redwood forest makes an absolute pinpoint as to where the molech ceremony takes place difficult, but buildings, dirt roads, and other structures are clearly visible.
Below is part 1 and 2 of the afore mentioned molech ceremony, complete with mock human sacrifice. The video was taken clandestinely at the gathering in 2000.

Here is a short video piece about some of the things that go on there। I urge everyone to watch the following clip. It is part of a longer documentary about the Bohemian Grove, which is also informative, from documentarian and radio host, Alex Jones.

As evidence to support the homosexual aspects of the Grove, here is president Richard Nixon discussing the rampant homosexuality that goes on at the week long event.

The idea of global governance is something that even presidents are familiar with. Here is president George Bush Sr. talking about the New World Order and the U.N. in an address to the American people given while he was President of the United States.

So taken together, we can infer that there are world leaders that have in the past obfuscated the truth, invented military incidents to expand their authority, and allowed American soldiers to die when the political ends justified the means. They seek global governance and meet behind closed doors, with the complicity of the media to further their dream. They even meet out in the woods and some perform occult ceremonies
So with history and practice of any number of elites in sight, lets take an overview of some current events going on now around the nation.
In Boston, the police are searching homes without a search warrant. Many scholars feel it is just a bald faced grab for more power. Some have even went on record as calling it an end run around the constitution.
"I just have a queasy feeling anytime the police try to do an end run around the Constitution," said Thomas Nolan, a former Boston police lieutenant who now teaches criminology at Boston University. "The police have restrictions on their authority and ability to conduct searches. The Constitution was written with a very specific intent, and that was to keep the law out of private homes unless there is a written document signed by a judge and based on probable cause. Here, you don't have that.”

This same program is being implemented in cities all over the United States, such as Oakland California, and Washington D.C.

As recently as last month, there was ”Operation Sudden Impact”. It was a secret operation which targeted citizens as potential terrorists, another clear violation of the constitution. In Shelby county TN, 50 state law enforcement agencies joined together to proactively search for terrorists. They randomly searched cars, set-up “terror” check points and even climbed on boats on the Mississipi.

Even though Memphis has not had a terrorist attack they are using the money earmarked for terror to fight crime, with the idea that it might lead to the discovery of a terror suspect.
Then there is the fact that after 7 years of anti-terror rhetoric, the borders of our country remain largely undefended. In reference to border defence, one anonymous border patrol agents estimation to me was “The technology of the United States is GROSSLY underfunded”(sic). If terrorism is such a deathly threat, why are our borders not more closely guarded? Literally, any American citizen can drive right into Mexico on a dune buggy in large swaths of California, Arizona and New Mexico.
Further, If the potential leaders of the free world believe that terrorism is a big threat then why are they associating and dialoging with groups that actively support an open border policy?

As scary as that is, here is something potentially much worse. The entirety of digital communication is now being monitored by the NSA. I STRONGLY encourage you to watch this clip!

Retired AT&T employee Mark Klein hooked up what he refers to as the “big brother machine” at the AT&T Folsom Street facility in San Francisco. According to Mr. Klein, the NSA now vaccums up virtually ALL of the emails that are sent each and every day. I think that this is something we should all pause and seriously consider as a serious overstep of civil rights. This seems to me to be in direct and deliberate violation of “innocent until proven guilty,” one of the cornerstones of our judicial system.
Through talk show host Oprah, there is a completely out in the open, massive movement towards Occult Theology. I make mention of the daily portion of her broadcast devoted to “A Course in Miracles” or, ACIM. The Course is said to have been "dictated" to atheist psychologist Helen Shucman by "an inaudible voice," who, she claimed, later identified himself as "Jesus".

Further, the U.N. has endorsed http://www.iiihs.org/. They’re stated goal is to “work in many nations towards the convergence of new sciences with spirituality.” They actively promote spiritism, trans-mediumship , Universal Human Experiences of Psyche, Spirit, & Transformation, and “Psychic Readings” right on their welcome page. The focus is to create a “one world religion.”
Can we even guarantee the government will carry out the laws that are currently on the books?
If we can take the imprisoning and beating of Border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Campean as a preview of what is to come, then we a have very real reason to worry.

Or perhaps you have seen how the government has been working with clergy to form teams to help keep the public complacent during gun confiscation.

Where is the activism? Where is the diligence of the American people to protect their inheritance of self government? Can it be that we have become so complacent that we care not for the very direction of our country? Would you have voted differently if some of these issues had seen the light of day? How would world events have come out differently if we had perhaps seen some of this on the evening news and voted based on that?
Speaking for myself, I am grieved. I feel that I have been lied to and was not diligent earlier in my life. I would like to think that I would have lived a very different lifestyle, that I would have spoken up more, and I would not have voted for whom I did.
Michael Chertoff, in a recent speech given at the Heritage Foundation said “ That we need to have a non-politicized, serious debate while writing new laws to define the best way to combat terrorism.” He went further and chided the public, saying “the public should not second guess government actions and claim that federal officials are overstepping their authority.”
Some say that we need to trust the government. Given the above list of referenced quotes, articles, and video clips, is blind faith given by us to the government really warranted? Should we not actively watch and participate, as the founders intended? As end rulers in a self governed society and not as automatons herded into a corner? If we as a people perceive that there are massive abuses of authority don’t we have the sovereign right and duty to renege on that faith and reign in the perpetrators?
Some say trust God. I cannot agree more. My God is bigger than all of this, and I have no doubt He will win in the end. Believe me, I know whom to trust. But the issue becomes clouded by equating my trust in God with my trust in my government. In the gospel of Luke as Jesus is teaching a crowd he says

”35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. 38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. 39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. 40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? 41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.
42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. 44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

How many Christians today are guilty of exactly the same thing? How many of us tithe our time and our treasure and overlook the larger issues of social justice. We go to church, we tell one another “God bless you brother!” and when we see others hurting, others in pain, others with life shattering problems, we turn a blind eye. When we see the government we could have stopped, participating in warrantless acts of war, deliberate railroading of justice, we tune out to our responsibility as followers of Jesus.
I think this same spirit applies to us as Americans as well. We have been given a historic opportunity unique in the world and we have botched it. We laid down our sword of vigilance because of complacency. We have screwed it up. It is our fault, and perhaps now it is too late.
